My right rear calipar is leaking. My question is should I try to rebuild it, or just go out and get a complete set of 4 new fresh calipars?

YOu can probably get new or rebuilt ones just as cheap - if not cheaper- as rebuilding it youself and without the exstra grief.  I would consider changing the two rear (don't change just one) and think about the front depending on the age and condition.  I am a strong believer in if it ain't broke, don't go broke trying to fix it.  On the other hand, it may be a timely investment.

If you know or believe that the calipers are original then I would recommend replacing all of them due to their age and if one is failing the others will follow soon. To take care of them all at the same time will ultimately save time and money down the road and provide a sense of safety now versus worrying how much longer any unrepaired parts will last if you only fix the defect part at this time.

Just a word to the wise, I've rebuilt my own calipers, it's not a big deal.  If you choose to buy new or rebuilt, I've been told that there are now some Chinese reproductions, that are not considered rebuildable cores.  Make sure you get real Delco calipers to avoid the non-rebuildable core problem later on....
