82 electric fuel pump

 ???I have installeda new manual fuel pump on my 82. I have talked to some owners at car shows and have been told to leave the electric pump in the tank and to remove the fuse to the pump. Does any one know which fuse this is. My owners manual tells me that the fuse box is in the glove box, but it is under the dash on the left side of the steering wheel. What is tha amp of the fuse? Does it serve any other item in the car? Shocked Shocked
