Time to get this category open....Well as I mentioned in another thread....I took out my seats last week.  When I bought the car on eBay the ad read..."will look great with the replacement of a FEW interior panels" Wink So I knew what was required when I bought it and I am okay with the purchase Undecided   As I was saying...seats are out and so is the carpeting, insulation, small hole drivers pan (now patched), center gauge console, shifter console, armrest, radio, boom box & amp in rear compartment, miles of useless wiring (and rear lights still work!! Smiley and everything connected in between!!  Seat belt bolts were a mother.  Angry So far I have POR-15'd the floors, installed new insulation (foil up), and I am presently fitting the carpets!  I tried to photo the process but camera batteries would not cooperate, got some pics that I will post when I download them.  And so the journey continues.....AH THE JOY OF CORVETTE OWNERSHIP!   Wink

Too bad about the camera issues. I'd really like to see this in a step by step photo spread. Sounds like you're doing it right!  Wink Wink

Here are the only pics I was able to get out of the camera...insulation installed, carpets laid, now waiting for the arrival of the new console panels.  Trying to decide what to do with the seats Huh  Passenger seat is like new...drivers needs repairs Embarrassed  I might put the pass seat in the drivers position and have the other redone, that way I can drive the car while it is being recovered...to be continued!

Hi Raider and welcome....

On my project I have been shopping the internet for the best value and quality.  For the most part I have used Corvette Central (Forum Advertiser) www.corvettecentral.com For the really best deal on carpets I used http://www.stockinteriors.com  I also purchased parts from eBay.  It has been a slow process since I have to wait for parts to be delivered and you find many "might as wells" as you go along.  But I am in no hurry...just want to get it right!!

What year is it?  My '73 seat foams were turning to dust so I had to do a complete replacement.  Before making that decision, I did some research (to save $$) on slip on neoprene covers.  There are some good ones out there and cheaper than recovering the seats for a short term fix...

I've found Rik's corvette to be good and if you put one big order in then everytime after that you get 10-20% off all future purchases.
