i'm getting ready to put a new tach cable in. the book makes it sound ok.any head fakes i should look out for? thanks a lot guys

Pretty straight swap. No tricks. Getting to the clip on the back of the tach is the toughest part. I've found it's easier to have someone gently push the cable toward the tach, press the clip down, then have them pull the cable back and off. Installing, you just need to guide it back over the back of the tach and turn the cable so it goes into the driven hub. Be sure that you don't kink or bend the cable - wide radius bends are the key.
