Just my $.02

Why fool around engineering a hydraulic clutch setup for a C-3 when the old school rods and z-bar setup has worked for years. Not trying to talk you out of it at all. If you're going with a trans that is already setup for the hydro setup then all you need to do is figure out the correct geometry for the master cylinder push rod.

I would never change mine over to a hydraulic system. I love the feel of a mechanical clutch and don't want the headaches of a hydraulic system. It's your car and you can do what you think is best, but I've had a couple of hydraulic systems fail on me and it's no fun at all. Just my opinion.  Wink Wink

Hydraulic master cylinders/slave cylinders are a royal pain as they're NOT trouble free by any means.  But the mechanical ones go forever.  I wouldn't even consider changing over to a hydraulic system unless I had to for space reasons.  I read the C6 posts in another forum and they're constantly having troubles with their hydraulic actuated clutches.
