Greetings. My small block 72 coupe with factory air conditioning is missing its radiator expansion/overflow tank and bracket. Unfortunately, when I acquired my car, someone had rigged up a plastic expansion/overflow tank, complete with ty-wraps, behind the grill. I have looked at many underhood pictures and so far cannot determine where the expansion tank should be on an air conditioned small block car. It appears to be located on the passenger fender well on a non-a/c car, but is not clear to me where it should be on my car. Also, why does one of the heater hoses connect to the expansion tank (at least on a non-a/c car), as well as the overflow from the radiator. Thanks all.

Thanks for the reply. I guess the a/c compressor must kinda' hide the tank in pictures I have seen. I am in the process of sorting out a few underhood issues, and this one has been bugging me.
